TV shows

Whoever said TV could only produce nonsense ? Of course, a lot of stuff is worthless, but the small screen can also become a perfect medium for artful pieces (yes, I did use the word "art" !) - just as much as literature, movies or even comics (and here again I see some of you grinding your teeth ! tsk, tsk)...

I have a huge passion for TV series, maybe even more (to a certain degree) than for movies. I have even had the opportunity of writing and publishing a book (thank you, Mr. Francis Valéry) about TV mogul producer Aaron Spelling. The man did many very popular shows - not always of the best quality, granted, but the man himself seemed fascinating enough to justify such a book !

Recent shows I like : NYPD Blue, Cupid, The X-Files, Seinfeld, Friends, My so-called life, Sliders, Earth 2, Earth : Final Conflict, the 3 Star Trek shows (Next Generation, Deep Space 9 and Voyager), Babylon 5, Due South... As for older shows : Hill Street Blues, Mission : Impossible, The Wild Wild West, Remington Steele, Star Trek (the original series), The Twilight Zone, The Invaders, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and many more !

One of my many dreams : to write screenplays for TV series ! ;-)

There is one TV personnality I admire over all others. His name is Steven Bochco and he is the man behind shows such as Hill Street Blues, L. A. Law, Cop Rock, NYPD Blue or the more recent Brooklyn South.
